American Brownies

Sweet & delicious American recipe.
 
Total time to cook: 50 minutes
Serves: 6
Category: Dessert

Ingredients:
  1. 1/2 cup Butter(melted)
  2. 1 cup White sugar
  3. 2 no. Eggs
  4. 1/2 cup Self-rising flour
  5. 1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  6. 1/4 tsp Salt
  7. 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  8. 1/2 cup Walnuts(chopped)
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Grease and flour an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat together the butter and sugar.
  4. Add eggs and mix well.
  5. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt.
  6. Stir into the sugar mixture.
  7. Mix in the vanilla and stir in walnuts, if desired.
  8. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes in the preheated oven or until edges are firm.
  10. Cool, before cutting into squares.

Cheese Balled Olives

Easy to make, pretty good tasting Caramel Pecan Crepes here!
 
Total time to cook: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. 4 oz. Cheddar or American Cheese
  2. 1 tsp. Milk
  3. 8 oz. package Cream Cheese, softened
  4. 1 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
  5. 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  6. 1 Tbs. dried Onions
  7. 1 Tbs. dried Chives
  8. Pinch dried Dilled
  9. 1 can Green or Black Olives
  10. Toothpicks
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Grate or shred the cheddar or American cheese and let it sit at room temperature while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, blend together the milk, cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce until thoroughly combined.
  3. Add the garlic powder, dried onions, chives, and dillweed, and blend again.
  4. Add the grated or shredded cheese to the creamed mixture and blend.
  5. Refrigerate until the cheese looks like it has “melted” in with the creamed cheese, then mix thoroughly again.
  6. To mold, surround each olive with about one and one-half teaspoonful of the cheese mixture, and stick each with a toothpick for easy serving.

American Biscuits

American biscuits with a filling made from unbleached all purpose flour, cold margarine, cold soya milk, vanilla extract or almond extract, seems delicious. Try our american biscuits
 
Total time to cook: 40 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  2. 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  3. 1/2 tsp. salt
  4. 4 Tbsp. cold margarine
  5. 3/4 cup cold soya milk
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Put all the ingredients into a bowl.
  3. Using a pastry cutter or a fork, blend the margarine into the dry ingredients until the mixture breaks down into fine particles.
  4. Add the soya milk and stir until the particles cling together.
  5. Turn out onto a floured bread board or countertop and knead for 1 to 2 minutes or until the dough is smooth.
  6. Add more flour as needed if the dough is sticky.
  7. Roll the dough out to about a 1/2-inch thickness.
  8. Cut into rounds, place on an ungreased cookie sheet, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  9. Serve hot.

Tuna Melts

Great tuna recipe for those tired of the plain old tuna, mayo, pickle juice recipe.

Total time to cook: 40 minutes
Serves: 8

Ingredients:
  1. 2 cans tuna packed in water, drained
  2. 3 tbsp mayonnaise, or to taste
  3. 1 tsp celery salt
  4. 1 tsp onion powder
  5. 1 tsp garlic powder
  6. 1/3 cup chopped celery
  7. 1/3 cup chopped onion
  8. 1/4 cup chopped yellow bell pepper
  9. 2 tbsp butter
  10. 3 English muffins split
  11. 6 slices American cheese
  12. 6 slices fresh tomato
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).
  2. Flake the tuna into a medium bowl. Mix in the mayonnaise, celery salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Stir in celery, onion, and yellow bell pepper.
  4. Butter English muffin halves, place them on a baking sheet, and bake 3 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned.
  5. Remove from oven. Spoon tuna mixture onto each muffin half, and top each with a slice of cheese.
  6. Return to the oven, and continue baking until the cheese has melted, about 8 minutes. Remove, and top each with a tomato slice to serve.

Apple Noodle Casserole

This is a quick & delicious casserole of nutmeg, Macintosh apple and cinnamon that is sure to become a family favorite.
Total time to cook: 1 hour

  1. 1/2 cup butter
  2. 1 lb. pkg. egg noodles
  3. 4 large Macintosh apples
  4. 4 eggs - beaten
  5. 1 cup packed brown sugar
  6. 1 cup golden raisins
  7. 1 Tbls. lemon juice
  8. 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  9. 1 dash grated nutmeg
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Pour melted butter into a 9″ X 13″ X 2″ baking dish and coat bottom of dish evenly.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour into baking dish.
  3. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes

Easy throw together casserole, delicious. Kids usually love this type of Blintz casserole mix.

  2. 1/2 cup sour cream
  3. 1 tsp vanilla

  1. Lightly coat a rectangular pan or glass casserole dish with butter or margarine.
  2. Place blintzes in single layer.
  3. Blend ingredients thoroughly and pour over blintzes.
  4. Refrigerate overnight.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Asparagus Wrap

A great snack recipe for your Halloween party. Works good year round, but is especially fun at Halloween. .
Total time to cook: 40 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. 10 Asparagus Spears
  2. 2 tb Dijon Mustard
  3. 1 tb Reduced-Calorie Mayonnaise
  4. 10 slice Bologna
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Trim the bottom end of the asparagus and blanch with boiling water.
  2. Blend the mustard and mayonnaise in a small bowl.
  3. Divide and spread the mustard mixture evenly on the large bologna slices.
  4. Wrap one asparagus spear in each bologna slice.
  5. Place the slices in a single layer on a round microwave platter or plate.
  6. Cover lightly with paper towels.
  7. With the microwave on MEDIUM, cook for 1 minute or until hot; rotate the plate one-half turn after 30 seconds.

The recipe is an awesome dessert. I do it about weekly and this is almost as the one I use.

Total time to cook: 1 hour
Serves: 6

Ingredients: Crust
  1. 1 pk chocolate cake mix
  2. 14 oz Sweetened condensed milk
  3. 6 oz. Heath Bits ‘O Brickle
  4. 4 Heath Candy bars
  5. 8 oz. Cool Whip
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Bake cake as directed on box.
  2. As soon as cake comes out of the oven, punch holes in the top of the cake with a straw.
  3. Spread condensed milk on top.
  4. Sprinkle package of brickle chips on top of cake.
  5. Cool cake.
  6. Spread cool whip on top.
  7. Mash frozen Heath Bars (use a hammer) and spread on top of cake.
  8. Keep refrigerated.

Bacon Egg Lasagna

Great snack for your halloween party
 
Total time to cook: 1 hours
Serves: 5

Ingredients:
  1. 8 ounces diced bacon
  2. 1/2 large onion, chopped
  3. 1/8 cup flour
  4. 1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt
  5. 1/8 tsp pepper
  6. 1 pint milk
  7. 6 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  8. 6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  9. 8 ounce cup shredded Swiss cheese
  10. 1/8 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  11. 1 tbsp minced fresh parsley
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove with slotted spoon to paper towels. Drain, reserving 1/3 cup drippings.
  2. In the drippings, saute onion until tender.
  3. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually stir in milk.
  4. Bring to boil and cook and stir for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat. Spread 1/2 cup sauce in greased 13×9x2″ baking dish.
  6. Layer with four noodles, a third of the egg and bacon, cheese and sauce.
  7. Repeat layers twice. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
  10. Can be made the night before and refrigerated.
  11. To serve, remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
  12. Bake as above.
