Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter softened
¾ cup light brown sugar firmly packed
1 large Eggs
1 cup cooked and mashed acorn squash
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 cup All-purpose flour
2 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1 cup Chopped pecans
Streusel Topping
Step Wise Instructions:
Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with and electric mixer until creamy.
Add egg, beating well.
Stir in squash and vanilla.
Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; gradually add to squash mixture, beati ng at low speed after each additon.
Stir in pecans.
Pour batter into a grease d 9-inch square pan, and sprinkle with Streusel Topping.

Easy and delicious

Ingredients: pancakes
¾ cup whole ragi / nachni (red millet) /li>
¼ cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
Salt to taste
vegetable stuffing:
¼ cup sliced spring onion whites
¼ cup chopped spring onion greens
½ cup shredded cabbage
½ cup bean sprouts
½ cup grated carrots
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp finely chopped garlic
½ tsp dry red chilli flakes
2 tsp chopped coriander
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
1 tsp oil for cooking
Step Wise Instructions:
Soak the ragi in water overnight.
Wash, drain and grind to a smooth paste using a little water.
Add the rice flour and salt and mix well. Keep aside.
For the vegetable stuffing
Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic, dry red chilli flakes and spring onion whites, and fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, spring onion greens, sugar and salt. Mix well and keep aside to cool.
Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it with a little oil.
Spread an even layer of the batter to make a 125 mm. (5″) pancake.
Cook on both sides till golden brown, using a little oil.
Spread the stuffing on one side of the pancake.
Fold to make a semi-circle.
Repeat with the rest of the batter and stuffing to make 5 more pancakes. Serve hot.

Great dessert for your family meal.

Ingredients:
1 lb of scrubbed boiling potatoes
6 cloves fresh garlic, sliced finely
1 cup of milk
¼ cup of breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons of butter
Step Wise Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 380°F (180°C).
Slice potatoes thinly.
Butter a 9-inch pie plate.
Arrange a layer of potatoes, garlic slices, parmesan and slices of butter.
Repeat using the rest of the ingredients (other than the milk), saving some of the cheese and the butter.
Heat the milk and pour over top of the potatoes.
Top with bread crumbs and remaining cheese and butter.
Bake for 1 hour, until the potatoes are tender and top has turned golden brown.

Ingredients:
2 firm apples
8 glaced cherries
1 packet jelly of desired flavor
8 flutted or champagne glasses
2-3 pinches clove-cinnamon powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup water
2 tbsp cornflour
8-10 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 drop yellow colour
Step Wise Instructions:
Set jelly as per instructions on packet.
Peel and cut apple in quarters.
Put sugar and apple quarters in a heavy saucepan.
Heat on high.
Sprinkle some water. When all sugar has dissolved and the apples are slightly soft, take off gas.
Remove the apples, drain on a colander.
To the remaining syrup, add water, cornflour, spices (clove and cinnamon powder) and 1 drop yellow colour. Boil, stirring continuously till thick and transparent.
Cut the jelly into cubes.
To serve spoon jelly into glasses.
Put a scoop of ice cream on the jelly.
Place an apple quarter on top and pour some warm sauce.
Top with a cherry.

Crumb Pie is delicious father’s day recipe.

Ingredients:
One 9-inch unbaked pie shell
6 medium pears, peeled and cored.
1 cup of raisins
1 cup of flour
½ cup of brown sugar, packed.
¼ cup of sugar.
2 tbsp of cornstarch
¼ tsp of nutmeg
¼ tsp of cinnamon
Whipped cream, to garnish
Step Wise Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
Place the pears in a bowl, then add the raisins, ¼ cup of sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Mix thoroughly, then and pour intp the unbaked pie shell.
Combine the flour and brown sugar, then sprinkle over pie.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the fruit is tender.
Garnish with whipped cream and serve.

Ingredients:
4 eggs, separated
3/4 c. sugar, divided
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. sugar
1 qt. ice cream, softened
Step Wise Instructions:
Beat egg yolks for 3 minutes, add 1/2 cup sugar and beat 2 minutes more.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, 1/4 cup sugar, baking soda, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients alternately with the water to the egg mixture. Stir in vanilla.
In another bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form; add 1 tablespoon of sugar and beat until stiff.
Fold mixture into the batter.
Cover the bottom and sides of a jelly roll pan with wax paper. Grease wax paper completely with Crisco.
Spread batter into pan and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until top springs back when touched.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on a towel the size of the jelly roll pan.
While the cake is still hot, turn onto towel, peel off wax paper and roll gently with towel and cool.
Unroll, spread a layer of ice cream, then roll again. Wrap in heavy-duty foil and freeze 3 hours.

A luxurious dessert with a sinful blend of chocolate, cinnamon, fruits and coffee.

Ingredients:
1 2/3 c flour
4 t baking powder
pinch salt
½ c white sugar
¾ t cinnamon
¾ c rolled oats
¼ c finely chopped
1 large egg
1 c buttermilk
3 T butter, melted
1 t vanilla
1 c fresh or frozen fruit (blueberries, apricots, cranberries, raisins, chopped apples…)
3 T brown sugar
1 T butter, softened
Step Wise Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, white sugar, and ½ t cinnamon together. Stir in ½ c oats and the chopped nuts.
Beat egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla together.
Gradually stir contents of bowl 2 into bowl 1, mixing only enough to combine the wet and dry. Fold in the fruit.
Butter the baking dish, and spread the batter into it.
Combine ¼ c oats, brown sugar, ¼ t cinnamon, and softened butter and stir until crumbly. Sprinkle over coffee cake.
Bake for 40 minutes, until golden brown and done in the middle.

Melt marshmallows in milk in double boiler, chill.
Add whipped cream.
Combine graham crackers, butter and sugar; line bottom of 9-inch square pan with half the graham cracker mixture.
Layer cherry pie filling and marshmallow mixture over crumbs.
Top with remaining crumbs.

Combine flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
Beat egg yolks with oil, buttermilk, and apple juice.
Stir into flour mixture with nuts until all ingredients are moistened.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Spoon onto a hot, greased griddle and turn once when bubbles appear.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 cans apple pie filling
cup shredded Cheddar cheese
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Step Wise Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Cream together butter or margarine and confectioners’ sugar.
Add 1 cup flour and mix gently just until dough comes together.
Pat evenly into a 12 inch pizza pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Remove and spread with apple pie filling.
In a medium bowl, mix together cheese, 3/4 cup flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Sprinkle over apple filling and return pizza to oven for 25 to 30 minutes longer.
