Butternut squash soup

You will need a soup thermometer to make this mouthwatering soup.
 
Total time to cook: 50 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 2 tsp Oil
  2. 1tart Green apple — sliced
  3. 2 Leeks — in 1/2 inch slices
  4. 1Butternut squash peeled and diced
  5. ½ Onion sliced
  6. 1Carrot — sliced
  7. 1sprig Thyme
  8. 1Bay leaf
  9. 1tsp Allspice
  10. 1tsp Cinnamon
  11. 2 tsp Salt
  12. 7 cups Stock
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Here’s a very autumnal soup to get you in the Fall spirit.
  2. Served it with mugs of mulled cider and a hearty Italian loaf.
  3. Put oil (or substitute) in a hot pan and then add all ingredients except stock.
  4. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add stock and simmer 45 minutes.

Sizzling Soup

There’s nothing better than a hot cup of soup on a cold winter day. This sizzling soup is hearty and delicious.
 
Total time to cook: 40 minutes
Serves: 7
Category: Vegetable , Mushrooms, soup
Ingredients:
  1. 5 cup Vegetable stock
  2. Cup Murmured
  3. 1 Carrot
  4. Salt 1 tsp
  5. Some Mushrooms
  6. 1/2 tsp Ajinomoto
  7. 8-10 Spinach leaves
  8. 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  9. 100 gm Paneer
  10. 1/4 tsp each Sherry and Black Pepper
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Make vegetable stock as for Talumin Soup.
  2. Put mushrooms, carrot and spinach. Add paneer.
  3. Mix ajinomoto, salt and black pepper.
  4. Add soya sauce and sherry.
  5. While serving, add murmure.
  6. Serve hot with chilly sauce.

I am constantly throwing together my own special sauces during grilling season. I particularly like this cocktail sauce recipe.

Ingredients:
  1. 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
  2. 9 tsp Lemon juice
  3. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  4. 1 tsp Salt
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Mix all the ingredients well.
  2. This sauce goes well with any fried dish

Such a simple salad recipe. Great recipe for the Atkins’ and South Beach diet fans out there.

Ingredients:
  1. 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  2. 3 tbsp lemon juice, divided
  3. 1 tsp sugar
  4. 1/4 tsp salt
  5. 1 cup dried cranberries
  6. 3 large red apples, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  7. 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  8. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a bowl, whisk the oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, sugar and salt.
  2. Add cranberries; let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, toss apples with remaining lemon juice.
  4. Add the broccoli, walnuts and cranberry mixture; toss to coat.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or until chilled.
  6. Toss before serving.

I just love apple recipes! This is a really simple dessert you can throw together right after dinner.

Ingredients:
  1. 1 oz light rum
  2. 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
  3. 1 tsp Applejack brandy
  4. 1 tsp lemon juice
  5. 1/2 tsp grenadine syrup
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Icy Cherries

This easy, low-fat recipe yields light and delicious Cherry squash.

Total time to cook: 40 minutes
Serves: 5

Ingredients:
  1. 4 c cherries, pitted, sliced
  2. 1/2 c Water
  3. 1/3 c Granulated Sugar
  4. 2 tb Lime Juice, fresh
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water; bring to a boil and cook until sugar is dissolved, about 1 - 2 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Puree the cherries in a food processor or blender until smooth; place in a bowl along with sugar syrup and lime juice.
  3. Pour into an 8-inch square baking dish.
  4. Freeze until nearly solid.
  5. Scoop mixture into a food processor or blender and beat until mixture is smooth, but not melted.
  6. Spoon into dishes and serve immediately.

  1. 4 ounces sugar dissolved
  2. 2 1/2 ounces water
  3. 8 ounces whiskey
  4. 5 ounces small tin milk
  5. 5 ounces single cream
  6. 10 milliliters Cacao essence
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Blend all of the ingredients until liquid, about 1 minute.
  2. Serve immediately. If you have to store this in the fridge, it may separate, so to revive it,
  3. Stir in a bit more cream before serving.

Almond Syrup

Almond syrup is a refreshing beverage to serve on a hot summer day.
 
Total time to cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 4 1/2 c Water
  2. 20 oz Almonds, ground
  3. 6 c Sugar; up to 7 cups
  4. 3 tb Bitter almond extract
  5. 2 Oranges ; juice of
  6. 2 tb Almond syrup
  7. 2 tb Yogurt
  8. 6 oz Cold water
Step Wise Instruction:
  1. To serve, put a few tablespoons in a glass and add cold or sparkling water and ice.
  2. Bring water to a boil; add almonds and return to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool thoroughly.
  4. Squeeze the ground almonds in several layers of rinsed cheesecloth.
  5. Pour almond extract into a saucepan; add sugar, bitter almond extract, and orange juice.
  6. Stir well and bring to a boil; cook to a thick syrup consistency.
  7. Let cool completely. If syrup if not thick enough, boil again for 5 minutes.
  8. Pour into sterile bottles, seal and refrigerate.
  9. Can be used immediately.
  10. Serve with ice water or with club soda.

Pear Cordial

Pear Cordial is a delicious drink for summer holiday party, with orange. It can also be served as an accompaniment to appetizer .Try our Pear Cordial .
 
Total time to cook: 20 minutes
Serves: 10 glass

Ingredients:
  1. 3 fresh pears (or 6 dried pears)
  2. 2 cups sugar, dissolved in 1/2 cup water
  3. 1 orange
  4. 3 whole cloves
  5. 1/2 tsp. whole coriander
  6. 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  7. 1 whole peppercorn
  8. 2 cups 80-proof vodka
Step Wise Instruction:
  1. Remove seeds and dice pears.
  2. Put in a glass jar along with spices and peel from 1 orange (avoid the white pith).
  3. Meanwhile measure the flaked grains and mix them together in a large bowl.
  4. Strain through cheese cloth and add sugar solution. Leave until clear.
