Egg Fry

I love restaurant style Egg Fry dishes that I can fix at home.

Total time to cook: 40 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 5 Eggs
  2. 1 Onion
  3. Tomato Half
  4. 1 small piece Dry coconut
  5. ¼ spoon Coriander powder
  6. ½ Chilly Powder
  7. ½ Pepper Powder
  8. 3 flakes Garlic
  9. 5 leaves
  10. Coriander leaves
  11. Salt
  12. Oil
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Boil eggs with salt.
  2. Peal the cover of eggs and cut into half.
  3. Pour oil in a kadai and put finely chopped onion, curry leaves and fry.
  4. Add tomato and fry.
  5. Add egg pieces also and fry.
  6. Meanwhile, Grind coconut, coriander powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, garlic and little salt.
  7. Add this mixture, chopped coriander leaves to eggs, and fry it for 7 minutes. Egg fry is ready.

Breakfast shake

Milkshake made for breakfast time
Total time to cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  2. 1/4 cup skim milk
  3. 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
  4. 1 tablespoon wheat germ
  5. Two packets sweetener
  6. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. Three ice cubes
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a blender at medium speed.
  2. Blend all the ingredients until smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour into a glass.

Corn Chowder

Corn Chowder

Great little snacks to have around the house.
 
Total time to cook: 45 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 4 slices Salt pork, diced
  2. 1/2 cup Diced onion
  3. 1 cup Diced, peeled potatoes
  4. 1 1/2 cups Chicken broth
  5. 1-15 oz can Cream-style corn
  6. 1-14 oz can Kernel corn
  7. 3-4 tbsp Flour
  8. 1/2 cup Cold water
  9. Cayenne pepper and mace
  10. 1 rich milk
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Fry salt pork slowly in a deep saucepan until crispy, then add the onion and stir-fry until golden. Pour off excess fat and add potatoes and broth.
  2. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Add both cans of corn and corn juice. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in a smooth mixture of the flour and water. Let come to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Add a few dashes of cayenne pepper and a pinch of mace.
  6. Stir in the milk and reheat thoroughly, but do not boil.
  7. Taste for seasoning.

Apricot pork chops

Apricot pork chops make a great appetizer for any party.

Ingredients:
  1. Cooking spray
  2. 4 (4-ounce) boneless loin pork chops
  3. 1/4 cup pre chopped onion
  4. 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  5. 1/4 cup apricot preserves
  6. 2 teaspoons bottled minced garlic
  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/4 cup sliced green onions
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Coat pan with cooking spray.
  3. Add pork to pan; cook 6 minutes on each side or until done.
  4. Remove from pan; keep warm.
  5. Add pre chopped onion to pan; sauté 4 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Stir in preserves, soy sauce, garlic, and salt; cook 3 minutes or until thickened.
  7. Add pork to pan, turning to coat.
  8. Sprinkle with green onions.

Strawberry Iced Tea

S Fresh fruit mixed with green tea makes this iced tea a nice healthy and delicious beverage.

  1. 1 ounce sweet and sour mix
  2. 2 ounces frozen sliced California Strawberries in syrup, partially thawed
  3. 1/2 ounce rum
  4. 1/2 ounce vodka
  5. 1/2 ounce gin
  6. 1/2 ounce triple sec
  7. 1 scoop ice
  8. Splash of lemon-lime soda
  9. Whole fresh California Strawberry
Step Wise Instruction:
  1. In a blender combine all ingredients except whole berry and lemon-lime soda; flash blend.
  2. Pour into tall glass.
  3. Splash lemon-lime soda on top.
  4. Garnish with whole berry.

Honey Cookies

Wonderful honey cookie recipe.

Ingredients:
  1. 1 cup sugar
  2. 1 egg
  3. 1/2 cup honey
  4. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  6. dash of salt
  7. 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  8. 1 tablespoon water
  9. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  10. 2 1/3 cups flour
  11. 1/2 cup slivered almonds
Step Wise Instruction:
  1. Combine sugar and honey in large mixing bowl, beating well.
  2. Add egg, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt, beat well.
  3. Dissolve soda in water; add to honey mixture, stirring well.
  4. Stir in flour and almonds.
  5. Press dough evenly into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350F for 20 to 25 minutes.
  7. Cut into 3 x 1 inch bars.
  8. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen.

Step Wise Instruction:
  1. Place toast on baking sheet.
  2. Spread with butter if desired.
  3. Cover with mushrooms and tomato slices.
  4. Sprinkle cheese and crumbled bacon on top.
  5. Bake in 350 degree oven until cheese melts.
