| Asparagus Recipe A simple, healthy asparagus recipe. |

Ingredients:
- 1 bunch medium sized asparagus
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
|

Step Wise Instructions:
- Prepare the asparagus by rinsing them thoroughly, break off any tough, white bottoms and discard.
- Cut into 1 to 2 inch sections, slicing the asparagus at a slight diagonal.
- 2 Fill a medium sized saucepan half way with water, bring to a boil.
- Add the asparagus and reduce heat slightly to a simmer.
- Parboil the asparagus for exactly 2 minutes.
- Drain the hot water. While the asparagus are still hot, toss them in a bowl with the olive oil, Parmesan, and lemon rind.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm or room temperature.

- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 4 slices bread, 1/2 inch thick
- 3 tablespoons butter

Step Wise Instructions:Crust
- Blend the peanut butter and boiling water together.
- Toast the slices of bread.
- Dip the toast into the mixture and fry quickly in the butter in a frying pan.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 c Blue corn
- 3/4 c All-purpose flour
- 1 tb Sugar
- Ts Baking powder
- 1/2 ts Baking soda
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1 1/2 c Buttermilk
- 2 large Eggs, separated
- 6 tb Melted butter
- Maple syrup

Step Wise Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal , flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
- In another bowl, mix butter with egg yolks and 1/4 cup of melted butter.
- Pour liquids into dry mixture, stirring to moisten well.
- Whip egg whites until they hold stiff peaks, fold into batter.
- Bake in a preheated waffle iron set on medium high heat or in an electric one set at medium high (375 degrees).
- Brush grids with melted butter; half fill with batter, spreading slightly.
- Close iron; bake until waft
- fle is golden brown,5 to 6 minutes.
- Serve hot with butter and syrup.

Ingredients:
- 8 oz shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 to 1 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp sour cream
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 stick unsalted softened to the point of being slightly melted
- 1 to 2 loaves of French or Italian bread depending on the size of the loaves

Step Wise Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the cheeses and the green onion.
- Stir in the mayonnaise and sour cream.
- In a separate small bowl blend the butter and garlic until smooth.
- Add the butter mixture to the cheese mixture.
- Preheat broiler.
- Slice loaf of bread in half horizontally, lay crust side down.
- Spread cheese mixture over the bread.
- Place under the broiler until nicely browned, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Remove from broiler and let sit for 5 minutes until cool enough to handle.
- Slice the bread with a bread knife.
- Serve.

Ingredients:
- 4 cups Corn Chex
- 4 cups Wheat Chex
- 2 cups square-shaped cheese flavored crackers
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 2 cups mixed nuts or dry roasted peanuts
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 4 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Step Wise Instructions:
- In a large roasting pan, combine the cereals, crackers, pretzels and nuts; set aside.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in the barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce and seasoned salt until blended.
- Pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat.
- Bake, uncovered, at 250 degrees F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Spread on waxed paper to cool completely.
- Store in airtight containers.

Ingredients:
- 6 ea Eggs
- 1 c Flour
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1 c Milk
- 2 tb Melted butter
- Powdered sugar
|

Step Wise Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450.
- Butter 9×13″ pan and put into the freezer while you mix the batter.
- Beat eggs with a fork.
- Slowly add the flour and mix well.
- Add salt, milk and melted butter.
- Pour into cold pan and bake for 18 to 20 minutes; then lower temperature to 350 and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with butter and syrup..

Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
- 10 ounces jumbo marshmallows
- 3/4 cup creame
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
|
|
Step Wise Instructions:
- Melt the butter over low heat in a large pot.
- Stir in the marshmallows and cook until fully melted and no marshmallow white remains.
- Stir in the peanut butter until combined.
- Stir in the cereal until distributed evenly through the marshmallow mixture.
- Pour out onto a lightly greased rectangular baking dish (9 by 13 inches).
- Smooth out the top of the treats by moistening your hands with a little water and using the palms of your hand to press down gently.
- Don’t press down too hard or else your treats will be too dense.
- Set aside to cool.
- Once the treats have cooled, melt the chocolate over low heat.
- Cut the treats into even squares and quickly just shallowly dip the top side of the treats into the chocolate.
- Turn chocolate side up and set in a baking dish or on a rack until set.

Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 20 ounces brown mushrooms, halved
- 1/4 cup Ouzo
- 2 teaspoons fresh oregano leaves, finely minced
- 3 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
|

Step Wise Instructions:
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add mushrooms to skillet and saute for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove skillet from heat and add ouzo (beware of flame-up).
- Return skillet to heat and cook until liquid has evaporated then remove from heat.
- When mushrooms have cooled to room temperature, combine mushrooms, oregano, feta cheese, and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a medium mixing bowl.
- Mix well to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve as an appetizer or side dish at room temperature or chilled.

Ingredients:
- 4 oz. Cheddar or American Cheese
- 1 tsp. Milk
- 8 oz. package Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 Tbs. dried Onions
- 1 Tbs. dried Chives
- Pinch dried Dilled
- 1 can Green or Black Olives
- Toothpicks

Step Wise Instructions:
- Grate or shred the cheddar or American cheese and let it sit at room temperature while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- In a small mixing bowl, blend together the milk, cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce until thoroughly combined.
- Add the garlic powder, dried onions, chives, and dillweed, and blend again.
- Add the grated or shredded cheese to the creamed mixture and blend.
- Refrigerate until the cheese looks like it has “melted” in with the creamed cheese, then mix thoroughly again.
- To mold, surround each olive with about one and one-half teaspoonful of the cheese mixture, and stick each with a toothpick for easy serving.
