  1. 1 tbsp dill pickle relish
  2. 2 tsp reduced-fat mayonnaise
  3. 1 whole-grain crisp bread cracker

Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Mix egg with relish and mayonnaise.
  2. Spread the egg mixture on cracker.

Asparagus Recipe

Asparagus Recipe A simple, healthy asparagus recipe.

Ingredients:
  1. 1 bunch medium sized asparagus
  2. 2 Tbsp olive oil
  3. 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
  4. 1 tsp lemon zest
  5. Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Prepare the asparagus by rinsing them thoroughly, break off any tough, white bottoms and discard.
  2. Cut into 1 to 2 inch sections, slicing the asparagus at a slight diagonal.
  3. 2 Fill a medium sized saucepan half way with water, bring to a boil.
  4. Add the asparagus and reduce heat slightly to a simmer.
  5. Parboil the asparagus for exactly 2 minutes.
  6. Drain the hot water. While the asparagus are still hot, toss them in a bowl with the olive oil, Parmesan, and lemon rind.
  7. Salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve warm or room temperature.

  1. 1/2 cup peanut butter
  2. 3/4 cup boiling water
  3. 4 slices bread, 1/2 inch thick
  4. 3 tablespoons butter
Step Wise Instructions:Crust
  1. Blend the peanut butter and boiling water together.
  2. Toast the slices of bread.
  3. Dip the toast into the mixture and fry quickly in the butter in a frying pan.

Blue Corn Waffles

This is my best ever light and crisp waffles that i serve with butter and warm maple syrup.
 
Total time to cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 1 1/2 c Blue corn
  2. 3/4 c All-purpose flour
  3. 1 tb Sugar
  4. Ts Baking powder
  5. 1/2 ts Baking soda
  6. 1/2 ts Salt
  7. 1 1/2 c Buttermilk
  8. 2 large Eggs, separated
  9. 6 tb Melted butter
  10. Maple syrup
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a bowl, mix cornmeal , flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix butter with egg yolks and 1/4 cup of melted butter.
  3. Pour liquids into dry mixture, stirring to moisten well.
  4. Whip egg whites until they hold stiff peaks, fold into batter.
  5. Bake in a preheated waffle iron set on medium high heat or in an electric one set at medium high (375 degrees).
  6. Brush grids with melted butter; half fill with batter, spreading slightly.
  7. Close iron; bake until waft
  8. fle is golden brown,5 to 6 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with butter and syrup.

Cheesy Bread Recipe

You can serve this delicious, cheesy bread with any meal.

 
Total time to cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 8 oz shredded Mozzarella cheese
  2. 1 lb shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  3. 1/2 to 1 cup chopped green onion
  4. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  5. 2 Tbsp sour cream
  6. 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  7. 1 stick unsalted softened to the point of being slightly melted
  8. 1 to 2 loaves of French or Italian bread depending on the size of the loaves
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the cheeses and the green onion.
  2. Stir in the mayonnaise and sour cream.
  3. In a separate small bowl blend the butter and garlic until smooth.
  4. Add the butter mixture to the cheese mixture.
  5. Preheat broiler.
  6. Slice loaf of bread in half horizontally, lay crust side down.
  7. Spread cheese mixture over the bread.
  8. Place under the broiler until nicely browned, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from broiler and let sit for 5 minutes until cool enough to handle.
  10. Slice the bread with a bread knife.
  11. Serve.

Barbecue Muncher Mix

Meal in one, easy and tasty

 
Total time to cook: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. 4 cups Corn Chex
  2. 4 cups Wheat Chex
  3. 2 cups square-shaped cheese flavored crackers
  4. 2 cups pretzel sticks
  5. 2 cups mixed nuts or dry roasted peanuts
  6. 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  7. 4 tablespoons barbecue sauce
  8. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  9. 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a large roasting pan, combine the cereals, crackers, pretzels and nuts; set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in the barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce and seasoned salt until blended.
  3. Pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat.
  4. Bake, uncovered, at 250 degrees F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  5. Spread on waxed paper to cool completely.
  6. Store in airtight containers.

Ingredients:
  1. 6 ea Eggs
  2. 1 c Flour
  3. 1/2 ts Salt
  4. 1 c Milk
  5. 2 tb Melted butter
  6. Powdered sugar
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 450.
  2. Butter 9×13″ pan and put into the freezer while you mix the batter.
  3. Beat eggs with a fork.
  4. Slowly add the flour and mix well.
  5. Add salt, milk and melted butter.
  6. Pour into cold pan and bake for 18 to 20 minutes; then lower temperature to 350 and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with butter and syrup..

Crispy Rice Treats

Perfect for the teenager in your midst and nice for kids and grown-ups as well.

Ingredients:
  1. 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
  2. 10 ounces jumbo marshmallows
  3. 3/4 cup creame
  4. 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  5. 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Melt the butter over low heat in a large pot.
  2. Stir in the marshmallows and cook until fully melted and no marshmallow white remains.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter until combined.
  4. Stir in the cereal until distributed evenly through the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Pour out onto a lightly greased rectangular baking dish (9 by 13 inches).
  6. Smooth out the top of the treats by moistening your hands with a little water and using the palms of your hand to press down gently.
  7. Don’t press down too hard or else your treats will be too dense.
  8. Set aside to cool.
  9. Once the treats have cooled, melt the chocolate over low heat.
  10. Cut the treats into even squares and quickly just shallowly dip the top side of the treats into the chocolate.
  11. Turn chocolate side up and set in a baking dish or on a rack until set.

Ingredients:
  1. 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  2. 20 ounces brown mushrooms, halved
  3. 1/4 cup Ouzo
  4. 2 teaspoons fresh oregano leaves, finely minced
  5. 3 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  6. Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add mushrooms to skillet and saute for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove skillet from heat and add ouzo (beware of flame-up).
  4. Return skillet to heat and cook until liquid has evaporated then remove from heat.
  5. When mushrooms have cooled to room temperature, combine mushrooms, oregano, feta cheese, and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a medium mixing bowl.
  6. Mix well to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve as an appetizer or side dish at room temperature or chilled.

Easy to make, pretty good tasting Caramel Pecan Crepes here!

Ingredients:
  1. 4 oz. Cheddar or American Cheese
  2. 1 tsp. Milk
  3. 8 oz. package Cream Cheese, softened
  4. 1 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce
  5. 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  6. 1 Tbs. dried Onions
  7. 1 Tbs. dried Chives
  8. Pinch dried Dilled
  9. 1 can Green or Black Olives
  10. Toothpicks
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Grate or shred the cheddar or American cheese and let it sit at room temperature while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, blend together the milk, cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce until thoroughly combined.
  3. Add the garlic powder, dried onions, chives, and dillweed, and blend again.
  4. Add the grated or shredded cheese to the creamed mixture and blend.
  5. Refrigerate until the cheese looks like it has “melted” in with the creamed cheese, then mix thoroughly again.
  6. To mold, surround each olive with about one and one-half teaspoonful of the cheese mixture, and stick each with a toothpick for easy serving.
