Apple Pie Cocktail

I just love apple recipes! This is a really simple dessert you can throw together right after dinner.
 
Total time to cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. 1 oz light rum
  2. 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
  3. 1 tsp Applejack brandy
  4. 1 tsp lemon juice
  5. 1/2 tsp grenadine syrup
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Apple Spice Drink

Apple Spice Drink

This is a delicious, fruity iced drink with flavors of apple and lemon.

Total time to cook: 40 minutes
Serves: 6
Category: summer, cool, orange drink
Ingredients:
  1. 3 tsp grated orange peel
  2. 3 cinnamon sticks, crushed
  3. 3 tsp whole cloves
  4. 1 whole nutmeg, crushed
  5. 3 c Apple juice
  6. 6 Cinnamon sticks
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Combine orange peel, 3 crushed cinnamon sticks, cloves and nutmeg in a small bowl.
  2. Tie dry ingredients in a double thickness of cheesecloth to make a sachet, or secure in a large tea-straining ball.
  3. In a medium pan, simmer apple juice with spices for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Ladle into mugs and garnish each with a cinnamon stick.

Ginger Tea

Ginger Tea

This is a really easy recipe for a soothing tea with flavors of ginger, holy basil and anisseds.

Total time to cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  1. ½” piece of Ginger
  2. 3 tsp. of Tea Leaves
  3. ½ tsp. of Aniseeds
  4. 1 tbsp. of Holy Basil
  5. Sugar (to taste)
  6. ¾ cups of Milk
  7. 1 ½ cup of Water
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Take a sauce pan and put the water on medium heat
  2. Add the crushed ginger, aniseeds and holy basil leaves.
  3. Let the water to come to a boil.
  4. Now add the tea leaves bring to a boil and then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the team and put it in a tea pot.
  6. Enjoy it with sugar and milk.

Anise Cookie

Nice mixture of margarine and chees flavor in this Anise cookie recipe

Total time to cook: 1 hours

Ingredients:Roast
  1. 1/2 c Butter or margarine
  2. 3 oz Cream cheese
  3. 1 1/2 c C and H Powdered Sugar
  4. Eggs
  5. 3 1/4 c All-purpose flour
  6. 3 ts Baking powder
  7. 1/2 ts Salt
  8. 2 ts Anise seeds
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and beat until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  2. Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
  3. Chill dough 3 hours.
  4. Divide soft dough in half. On a 17 by 14 inch cookie sheet, form each half of dough into a roll 1-1/2 inches wide and the length of the cookie sheet.
  5. Bake in 350 degree oven 30 to 35 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and cut rolls into 3/4 inch slices.
  7. Place on cookie sheets, cut side down, return to oven and bake 10 minutes or until toasted and crisp.
  8. Makes about 48 slices.
