Strata Milano

Wonderfully quick and easy snack to make

 
Total time to cook: 50 minutes
Serves: 4
Category: Eggs , quiche recipes
Ingredients:
  1. 6 slices bacon
  2. 3-1/4 cup milk
  3. 1 cup ricotta cheese
  4. 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  7. 5 eggs 1 cup chopped red onion
  8. 1-3/4 cup diced tomato
  9. 1-1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  10. 1 16 oz. loaf sourdough bread
  11. grated fresh parmesan
  12. paprika
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Whisk eggs, milk, cheeses, salt & cayenne until well blended.
  2. Combine eggs, tomato, onion and rosemary.
  3. Arrange half of bread cubes in 9×13-inch dish coated with cooking spray.
  4. Spoon half of tomato mixture over bread & pour half of mil mixture over tomato mixture.
  5. Repeat procedure with remaining bread, tomato and milk mixtures.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika and grated parmesan.
  7. Cover and refrigerate 8 hrs. or overnight.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Let it set 15 minutes before serving.

Guinness Ice Cream

This is a quick and easy dessert, if you like Guinness Stout you will love these twists! They are sure to become a favorite. They also go great with breakfast.
 
Total time to cook: 1 hours
Serves: 7
Category: ice cream
Ingredients:
  1. 2 3/4 cups Guinness Stout
  2. 1 large egg
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1/2 cup milk
  5. 2 cups cream
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Boil Guinness until reduced to 2 cups.
  2. Cool until just warm.
  3. Combine egg and sugar in a bowl.
  4. Stir in milk, then mix into the warm Guinness reduction.
  5. Stir in cream.
  6. Chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  7. Process in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Chocolate Dipped

A great snack recipe for your Halloween party. Works well year round, but is especially fun at Halloween.
 
Total time to cook: 40 minutes
Serves: 7

Ingredients:
  1. 1/2 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  2. 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  3. 1 tbsp vegetable shortening
  4. Cookies, dried apricots, miniature pretzels or potato chips
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Cover tray with wax paper.
  2. Place chocolate chips and shortening in small microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave at high (100%) 1 minute; stir.
  4. If necessary, microwave at high an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
  5. Cool slightly.
  6. Dip 2/3 of each snack or fruit into chocolate mixture.
  7. Shake gently to remove excess chocolate.
  8. Place on prepared tray. Refrigerate, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until coating is firm.
  9. Store in airtight container in cool, dry place.

Chocolate Pudding

Simple chocolate chip pudding recipe.
 
Total time to cook: 50 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. 1 12-ounce can evaporated skim milk
  2. 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  3. 1 large egg
  4. 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  5. 1 tbsp cornstarch
  6. 3 tsp. semisweet chocolate chips
  7. 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Step Wise Instructions:
  1. Whisk milk, brown sugar, egg, cocoa and cornstarch in a medium saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium-low heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture bubbles and thickens, 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add chocolate chips and vanilla; stir until the chips have melted.
  4. Transfer the pudding to a bowl and cover with wax paper to prevent a skin from forming.
  5. Refrigerate until you are ready to serve it.

This is a delicious, fruity cocktail with flavors of apple and rum.

  1. 1 oz light rum
  2. 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
  3. 1 tsp Applejack brandy
  4. 1/2 tsp grenadine syrup

  1. In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass.
